Preparing For Your Session
Family Shoots
Clothing should be kept comfortable and simple for everyone with minimal patterns!! As long as there is not a whole lot of pattern and stay in the color scheme everything should be fine! Classic Styles such as sun dresses ,khakis, jeans, overalls are perfect for keeping the portrait from out dating over time!! Patterns and textures can be interesting as long as they complement each other. Add a vest, add that sun hat you have been saving in the closet ! Hey!!Lets make sure your fellows have on long black socks incase there jeans rise up lol!
Toddlers
As a photographer and a mother of FIVE ( yes I just said 5 ) I know how hard it is to get that perfect shot because they don’t want to smile or they concentrating on something else. DON’T WORRY!! I have patience and I will do what ever it takes to make them comfortable around me. What they should wear… There clothing also needs to be comfortable and if more than one child the scheme should not collide with one another. If its just one have fun with it if you want!!! Also please bring any personal item that may help with this such as blankies, bears and If need be a special treat for co-operating for Mrs. Amanda <3 etc.
Babies/ Newborns
The cutest trend right now is wraps , bonnets etc. Newborns are sometimes hard to work with so the warmer we keep them and comfortable the better off we are at getting the best shots! If you have a special heirloom that you need incorporated in a shot please let me know ahead of time so I can think ahead on what I will be doing with it!
